Mother Teresa Biography

Mother Teresa (1910 – 1997), born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, was a Catholic nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India in 1950.

For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity's expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries.

Green House Support Project -

Thanks to Southampton HAAD Team based in UK, Mother Teresa Society received 5000£ donation. From it, ten (10) socially deprived families will receive means and skills to lift themselves out of the poverty.

The ‘Green House Support Project’ is practical; first because it provides assistance to vulnerable community which fulfills the MTS criteria, furthermore it fosters the sustainable income to the beneficiaries.

The income-generated project will provide a basic and sustained living condition by cultivating vegetable plants in green houses.

Project provides a double effects, first the families can generate income, and second the families as household will benefit and the nourish process will improve. The target beneficiary consists of the poor women agricultural households; deprived social group; and ethnic communities, MTS has experience in implementation of the project. With support of the ‘Secours Popular François ‘ and Swiss Agency for Development and EU funded MTS was able to implement over 180 green houses in Kosovo territory . Furthermore with an EU funded grant twenty families have received 20 start-up incubators for developing the family small entrepreneurship. Stay tuned for more info and photos during project progress.
